Tshikwalo Guesthouse (10 Bedrooms)
* Please note that our guesthouse is not on Tshikwalo’s premises (it’s about 500m down the road from the main lodge). It must also be rented as a complete property and can’t be shared.

2 Bedroom Chalet
Our 2-bedroom, 4-sleeper chalet is fully fitted for self-catering visitors. This chalet can accommodate either 4 single guests or 2 couples and is ideal for families with children. Enjoy a braai at your own private boma and cool down after a day of game viewing around the pool.

Dormitories
The en-suite ladies and gents dorms offer 10 x bunk-beds each (sleeping 20). This facility is ideal for family groups or school groups.

Tshikwalo Game Lodge is situated within the malaria-free Dinokeng Game Reserve, the first free-roaming Big-5 game reserve in Gauteng and offers an amazing African bush experience for local and international visitors.
The name of the lodge has its origin in the Monkeythorn tree or Tshikwalo as it is known in Venda. This beautiful specimen tree is known to provide dappled shade, a very true reflection what you will experience at Tshikwalo Game Lodge.
Tshikwalo Game Lodge is a mere 30 minutes’ drive north of Pretoria and a 60 minutes’ drive from O.R. Tambo International Airport and Johannesburg.

The DGR currently has 19 cheetah, 11 cubs, 2 adult males, 3 adult females, 2 sub adult females and 1 sub adult male which will be moved to Amakhosi Game Reserve in the near future.
